Hi Lorie!!! I brought Moose to the vets today! He is such a good boy! He weighs 11.4 lbs and the vet said he "100%
approves" of him!! He said he has great personality and beautiful markings and that I did my homework finding a
great breeder!! He LOVES to go for rides
and everywhere I bring him he gets sooo many compliments! He is adapting to his crate training........as the days go on he
makes fewer messes in the house. He sleeps about 6-7 hours at night and takes lots of naps during the day! He already knows
how to fetch and he knows his name quite well! The vet says that he will surely be a "moose" in a few months!! My
other dog is slowly warming up to him day by day..........Im hoping she will let him learn from her. She loves BIG dogs (
she hates little dogs) so I think she will be ok once he gets a little bigger............... I will keep you updated on how he is doing..................Thanks again for a
wonderful , beautiful, smart puppy!!! D&L'S Rain & Flash 7/15/10 litter. Lisa and David

Hi Lorie, Our little girl's name is Nuli. She is beautiful, fascinating
and very entertaining. The neighbors all love her and she is the friendliest animal ever! Nuli loves people
of all ages. She loves our cats too but they are still adjusting. They like her except when she decides to put
her big paw on them and makes them lay down. Works for me!!! It does the cats some good to have a little competition. She
is doing very well, sleeps through the night and is pretty much paper trained. She gets at least 4 long walks a day,
goes for rides in the truck and has her 2 beds in her crates for now. One downstairs beside the kitchen
and the other in our bedroom. Thank you for such a beautiful puppy! We needed her in our
lives. Please know that she will be loved and well taken care of. We will send pictures as she grows so you can
see her progress. We will definitely recommend D&L's to anyone looking to add a German Shepherd to their families.
We appreciate the care and love you so obviously give your GS's! D&L'S Rain & Flash 7/15/10 litter. Bless you, Molly
Hi Lorie, Zeke is doing very well! His obedience is coming along and he is maturing into a very handsome dog. He has amazing
drive and is showing willingness to use his nose as well as typical GSD problem solving ability. I wish the Maine Schutzhund
Club was more accessible, I believe he would be a great candidate. I've attached a couple of new pics. Thanks again for bringing such a special dog into
our life. A Shining Star & Flash puppy Allen Maine

Hi Lorie, Just a quick note to let
you know how things are going.. in short AWESOME!! Thunder is such
a great puppy, my family truly adores him. We take him nearly everywhere with us.. so he has met lots of people, other dogs
and been exposed to lots of new sounds. Lots of people have commented on how great his temperament is. He's not scared of
anything and loves people, especially kids!! We've
been to our first puppy class and he's learning quickly! Last week we visited the vet for his next set of shots and at just
over 10 weeks, he weighed in at 17 pound! They just love him.. and everything looks great!
I've sent a couple
of photos though he changes daily.. just like having another "baby" in the house! My other Shepherd, Emmy, loves
him. They play for hours each day and are nearly inseparable.
Hope all is well with you and your family. Good luck with your upcoming liters
this summer.
I'll keep you updated as Thunder grows up.. Thanks for a great puppy.. he's truly a wonderful addition
to the Ellis family!!
Take care,
Brandy, Jim, Michela, Emmy & Thunder!! A Star & Flash litter 03/10

Hard to believe Boone is still a puppy! This is where you find him
most of the time, in the middle of whatever the kids are doing. He's doing great! The girls have been teaching him to jump
over sticks. I've never met a dog who is so laid back and enjoys everything about life so much :) He will do anything asked
of him, not a stubborn bone in his body, until it's bedtime, he's a bed hog! Hope you all are doing great! ~Cathy... Maine
Hello Lorie, Hope you, Ken and the family are having a fantastic holiday season. As I said before we are loving Gunner. He is
probably the smartest puppy I have ever come across. He is so eager to learn all the time. He has made good friends with our
two male cats, which was a relief. We are still getting comments everywhere we go. Our vet loves him, he has told me he has
been thinking about getting a GSD and after seeing Gunner, he thinks he has made up his mind. Of course we recommended you.
We ended up giving him a full name to the AKC. His name is Blizkrieg's Lucky Gunner. Anyhow, Kaitlyn and myself where where
wondering when you are going to breed Blitz and Shyla again? We would love to get him a true sister. And if you are we would
once again like to get pick of the litter. We are thrilled with the Gunner and we would love to have another. We hope you
have a wonderful holiday season and a very happy new year. Thanks again!! Brian & Kaitlyn..Maine

Hi Everyone! Just wanted to let you know, Boone is doing great! He’s growing fast and is just
a joy! He’s been going for daily walks and took to the leash in no time. He’s such a good puppy! We got his AKC
papers, I didn’t know Thunder was his Grandfather, so now we know where the giant paws came from! Thanks again for everything!
I’ll send more pictures as he grows. Cathy
Hi Lorie, Chloe is doing great! She goes to the door when she needs to go
out and is sleeping through the night. She already knows "sit", "come". and she fetches her tennis ball.
She is such a joy! We just love her. She is still really cuddley when she is sleepy. I think she has doubled in size since
we got her! Jan
Hi Lorie, Hope
everyone had a nice holiday. I just wanted to drop a line and say how happy we are with Gunner. He is such a good boy. Where
ever we go, all we do is get comments on how handsome he is. He is a delight to train, as he learns everything so quick. We
where able to get him potty trained in 3 weeks, a much shorter time than we expected. His temperament around other dogs and
people is fantastic, he is so friendly. He went to the vet yesterday and weighed 23 pounds, and the vet said he
is growing perfectly. Our vet said he will probably be a big boy. We said he came from good stock. We could not be happier.
Kaitlyn and myself have even talked about getting Gunner a sister down the line from you guys, but that is a ways away. Thank
you so much for your conscientous breeding, it really pays off. I hope you and your family has a nice holiday season and a
happy new year. Thanks again!!
Hi Lorie, Chloe is doing great. She acts so grown up! She loves the snow and the cold. She rolls and buries
herself in the snow! We've been doing a lot of snowshoeing and she loves to wrestle with Babe. She is very affectionate and
loves everyone. She weighed 37 lbs last friday, the day that picture was taken, so I wouldn't be surprised if she is
40 lbs now. She is beautiful! Her coat is so thick and soft. She's like a big stuffed animal! Have a great Christmas. Jan
hi lorie, i told you i would send some pictures well here they are. beckettes 4th of july boat ride.
she is the best dog ever, she has one hell of a personality and is very smart. i made the right choice. she stays
around the house, doesnt have to be tied and she is house broken already. ill send somemore later as she grows and sits
still long enough to get her picture taken. thanx michelle P.S. she loves riding in the
car and the boat. she also loves to play in the water. :) Michelle, Maine
Lorie - Not sure if you were aware that my wife Kristi got Keltic for me as a
Christmas present. I could not have been happier!!! I spent quite some time looking through your website after she told
me where Keltic came from and I have to say I was quite impressed with your operation and methodology.
I attached a few photos of Keltic.
He really is quite a dog and his bloodline is very apparent given his temperament and intelligence.
Keep up the good work!!
Regards, Rod
Hello Lori,
Just wanted to let you know Timber is doing awesome. We took him to the vets for his first ck up
on the 2nd and he weighed 23 pounds. The vet loved him and said he looked beautiful!! His ears are already standing straight
up its soo cute..Sunday we took him with us to the big car show at the fairgrounds and honestly couldn't go more than two
feet without being stopped by people who where german sheppard lovers saying how beautiful he was and asking where we got
him. Actually one couple lives up near Bangor, and wanted your name because they where so impressed with him they wanted to
see about getting a dog from you. Funny huh, he even got his picture taken..it took us probably an extra hour to see the cars
cause we had to keep stopping but it was so nice, he is such a ham....just thought you would like to know all the compliments
we are getting on our boy!!
Thanks again....Kimberlee,Vt
Dear Lorie and Ken, Just
wanted to let you know Ike is doing great. He is without a doubt the smartest shepherd we have ever raised. Thank you so much
for your hard work and love in raising such wonderful animals. Kiss Louise from me..lol.. Pat & Greg Newburgh,Maine
I think you do a wonderful job caring for your dogs and puppies. I see you every summer on my way camping in the
wonderful area of Bingham. Every time I go by, I see someone always are out
socializing with your dogs and their puppies. One day, it was so sweet to
see your daughter out playing with the the mother and puppies. I see that you make a wonderful atmosphere for your
dogs. Thanks for providing such a sweet lovely dog. I am attaching an updated picture of Gretta. She
was from Thunder's & Raja, 6-15-07, litter. Thank You, Mike
& Angela
Dear
Lorie and Ken, Once again your breeding for
temperament has come shining through! The
rescue of Rakar, was a hard one, we are still dealing with a few minor things, but he is beginning to put his past behind
him, and we can see his personality growing everyday. Have
to tell you we had our doubts, but am so glad we gave him the time and space he needed, to be a Champ. Chloie is so inlove with him, they are totally inseperable,, I think he saw the
love we gave to Chloie, and knew that this was his forever home. We have him playing with tons of tons, and big long rawhide
bones. He is very protective of the family now, and a big part of it. He is a talker, he will be growling and singing at the same time with his tail wagging a mile a minute.
He loves to be close to me, I think he senses my disabilities. everytime I have to take my meds he crawls up in my lap and
hugs. Now
for my dear Chloie, when we bought Rakar home, she submitted to him right off the bat, there were no fights for the
alpha spot, she gave it to him immediatly with not even a nip or a growl. She has showed him the ropes around here so to speak,
and has been learning quickly the rules of the house. He is smart, so smart, and now becomming more and more sensative to Mike with his
oxygen tank and things, If Mike falls asleep and his mask comes off, Rakar will come get me, and show me that it is off. He
climbs the stairs with me, just like holding on to the rail with him. Our two Children, are remarkable, they are
the best addition to our family, and love them both so much. They are just the ticket we needed to brighten our spirits, and
make our days a lot more fufilled.. Mike and I both want to thank you again, for everything you have done for us with
our 4 legged children. Will take some more pictures and send them out to you soon, Once Again thank you for putting the life back in our lives... Val and Mike |
Hi Ken and Lorie, Just wanted
to let you know that Bella is doing great! She has been such a joy to our family. She is a very affectionate and playful puppy.
She is also very intelligent and easy to train. Her coloring is beautiful. Most people that meet her for the first time comment
on how "pretty" she is. I guess we named her appropriately. She loves the snow and playing outside. She also enjoys
snowshoeing and guarding the bird feeder from those pesky squirrels. We just love her! P.S. I think she looks just like her
dad Thunder. Jan Presque Isle
Hi Lorie & Ken and family:
We wanted to drop you a line to say thank you, Attikis has been home with us for almost 4 months now, and we wouldn't
know what we would do without him. Odie and Atti get along great, and Odie has been teaching him a lot about doggy life. The
vet told us on our last visit that she never had given any thought to getting a GSD until now. (We set Odie & Atti appointments
together.) she couldn't believe how great they are together as well as their temperament, and personalty's she was
very impressed. We owe you all a great deal for helping us with picking which puppy's were best for our life style Odie
an Atti fit in perfect. Thank you so very much. If anyone wants a testimonial from us we would be more then happy
to give one! your friends Pam, Ron, Odie'A , and Attikis. Revere,Ma
We adopted Sierra in November, 2008 at 7 months of age from her original owners, a
family in Waterford, Maine who needed to find a new home for her due to a debilitating auto accident.(this
family purchased her from you) Sierra adapted to us quickly
and she didn't have much anxiety. She was completely potty trained and had been taught a few
basic commands. It didn't take long to train her to heel, sit-stay, down-stay and most of her basic manners.
She is intelligent and so quick to learn things. She is very
good natured and sweet, but energetic and playful. We a ton of compliments ... several people have told
us she is the most beautiful German Shepherd they have ever seen. She loves to play with all other dogs and people,
especially children. She is calmly protective of her home without agressive behavior. We couldn't be happier..she is the dog we wanted. A couple of pictures taken at about
10 months are attached. Please feel free to use them on your website if you wish and/or use our testimonial.

I JUST WANT YOU TO KNOW HOW MUCH I ADORE THIS DOG. WE HAVE COME A VERY LONG WAY TOGETHER. HE
IS SWEET, SENSITIVE, PROTECTIVE W/O BEING AGGRESSIVE, HANDSOME AS EVER, AND COSTS ME A TEMENDOUS AMOUNT OF MONEY!!! I'M
ONLY BRINGING THE $ UP TO LET YOU THAT EVERYTIME I HAVE TAKEN HIM TO THE DOCTOR'S FOR AN EMERGENCY VISIT, HE
IS ALWAYS 100% HEALTHY. WE, THE DOCTOR AND I, HAVE ASSESSED THAT HE IS ALL FEELINGS. IF I AM DEPRESSED,
HE IS DEPRESSED. IF I AM SAD, HE IS SAD.... HE KILLS ME.... HONESTLY, I NEVER GET A BAD REPORT
ABOUT MAC. NOT FROM THE GROOMER, THE OTHER DOG OWNERS AT THE PARK, ETC... HE IS 96 POUNDS NOW
AND GROWING UP TO BE A GELTLEMAN. I JUST WANTED TO SAY "THANK YOU" FOR MY BABY. -- Sara

Hi Lorie: Just wanted to check in and say hi, and let you know what the Vet. had to
say about Odie We are thinking about getting another GSD in the near future, and asked the Vet. if she knew of any GSD rescues
in the area to which she told us we didn't want to go that route, she also told us that getting a puppy was better, but
before we do to make sure that we know the parents as we were so lucky to get such a great puppy as we did with Odie.
We continue everyday to get compliments from other GSD owners both current and former we can't go a day without someone
telling us how beautiful she is, and what a great temperament she has. With all this input from everybody we again
want to say thank you for such a great pup, and when we do decide it's time to get a second puppy we will be sure to get one
from you. Thank you, Thank you, Thank you Pam, Ron Revere, Ma.
Hi Lorie... Just wanted to say hello and also comment
on your website. Dan and I saw the new pics on there in the Scrapbook section. You really do an awesome job on
your website! Thank you for that and sharing all the updates and pictures of the other pups. I look forward to
seeing new pics all the time! Lissa Rochester,N.H.
Thank you so very much, i dont know if i told you the day i picked up
terra i had a call from a guy that had a litter of shepherd 's and his
were 500.00 no papers i said nope and by talking to him i was not
impressed with him or his litter,
by talking with you,( and i am a pretty good judge of people ) that you
care who gets a pup and the way you have your web site and showing your
buyers and their pups you were the better and best-est breeder , we were
cocker breeders for quite some time and my wife was before i met her and
she even agrees with what i have just said and showed her on your
site,so YOU WIN THE GOLD MEDAL WITH US.Thank you Stephan
I recently had the opportunity to work with D&L'S and
one of their german shepherds, Lorie's Louise in the filming of a
Television Commercial for one of my client's which will be airing on or about January 7th. 2008. The
spot specifically
called for a
German Shepherd. Everyone performed admirably on-camera,
with little direction. D&L'S Lorie's Louise was very well behaved and
manageable for what was a long day of shooting in surroundings
unfamiliar to her. Ken and Lorie listened to our needs and chose
one of their dogs who was best suited for what we needed in temperament
and personality. I consider myself fortunate to have found these
breeders and am looking forward to perhaps incorporating a litter of
pups into another commercial sometime.

I just wanted to give you an
update on Greta. She is doing great! She is so smart. She already sits, lays, shakes and scratches at the
door to go out! The vet is very impressed at her and how great her ears stand so straight and strong!
She is such a little sweet heart.
I hate going to work every day because I miss her so much the second I walk out the door.
But, she’s lucky because
she gets to hang out with her daddy all day, and work around the house.
Thank You,
Angela D. McAllis

Hi Lorie,
Just wanted to update you on maggie. last weekend she weighed 23 pounds, and i suspect
that she's over 27 pounds or more right now. She is a little block of muscle, and extremely strong!
She has known the verbal and hand commands for sit, stay, down, and shake since she was 8-9 weeks
old. She is crate trained, leash trained, rides in the car very well, sleeps through the night, and has been house trained
for weeks. She's very intelligent, and one of the most impressively smart puppies that I have owned and seen.
Everyone that actually knows dogs and shepherds, is very impressed with her intelligence, and can't believe she knows these
things at such a young age.
She has so much energy that we have increased our walking distance to a one mile walk in the
morning and a one mile walk in the evening. She does very well walking on the leash, and loves checking out all the
mailboxes, fire hydrants, sticks, and etc. on the side of the road.
Two of the most defining moments so far, that have made me so happy is her "shepherd like
instincts". The other day she noticed something out of place, and actually gave a couple low "woofs" as she
became very business-like. I praised her for warning me, and she was soooo proud of herself. I could tell as she
proudly pranced around me with her bone in her mouth! I have a feeling she will be a great guard dog, while still being
great with family, friends, and kids. She loves everyone.
Secondly, she loves to track katie and i. we play hide-n-seek with her, and tell her to
"find katie" or "find adam". I have never seen a puppy get so serious, and stick to her job of tracking us down, without
being sidetracked at all! She gets down to business and doesn't stop until she finds us. Amazing!
We have switched her food over to Nutro Ultra Large Breed Puppy. I wanted to get her on
a food with no fillers, or preservatives so we could keep her meals as natural as possible.
I have great plans of getting maggie into the sport of schutzhund. Her natural tracking
ability, loyalty, and seriousness when a job is given to her, will make her a great candidate.
Feel free to use this email for your testimonials page. I will send you up-to-date pictures
of maggie soon.
We'll be in touch,
Adam, Katie, and Maggie
.
Kato has gone to the vet.He weighs 21lbs.My vet is pretty sure he'll get to 30lbs.before he see him again!
We've been working very hard on the crate training. He will now sleep in the crate from 11:30pm-7:00am....right through
the night. Michael has leash trained him so now we go for short walks. He is also going up and down stairs now. He loves the
outside and the snow. It was snowing a bit this morning and he was trying to catch the flakes as they were
coming down. He did well in the car - we're going to start taking him for rides now. I think next month we are going to bring
him to a puppy play group, that should be lots of fun!
Thank you so much for this Wonderful puppy. We love him VERY much.

My baby Lilyanna is the best puppy ever. After waiting 13 1/2 LONG years to replace my beloved German Shepherd
Beckett, I know I made the right choice in choosing Lilyanna and D&L's German Shepherds! She is so smart.
She already sits on command, was totally house trained as far as "pooping" goes in one week and is about 70% "pee"
housebroken. She loves everyone and I take her eveywhere. Thanks for my beautiful baby girl. Your commitment
to quality dogs and conscientious breeding is evident in Lilyanna. Thank you Again Shirley Melancon

Hi Lorie, Pavlov is doing so great! we went to the vet on the 19th and he weighed 22.8 pds!
The vet says he will be very big. I swear he gains a pound a day! His legs are getting looong, and one ear stays
up (most of the time) His feet are HUGE! He has been going outside alot, he has only a few accidents
a day. He Hates the cold tho, when its really cold out all he wants is back inside! He'll pee real quick then run
to the door and sit and wait for me, or he will just sit at my feet and stare up at me. He LOVES the snow,
he will bury his head in it and run. Or I will kick snow at him and he will leap up and try to bite it. He is great
on the leash, I would have liked to keep him off one but he ran towards the road so I want to wait until
he listens a little better before i take him off it. But he does really good he always follows me
and never lets me out of sight when were outside. Even in the house he wants me in his sight at all times, or he
cries. actually he wants to be right by my side. He seems fearless (of noises and things) and approaches them
with his chest out eyes alert and ears foward. Bear is still in love with him, plays with him alot.
actually Pavlov is giving Bear alot of exercise, which he needs as Bear is overwieght. They have alot of fun
together. Nikita still dosent care for him, so he just ignores her now. He really wants to play with the cat,
but she dosent want any part of him! He knows how to sit, and give paw. He dosent like to play fetch tho,
his favorite game is tug of war. I hope he grows into playin with the ball! I cant wait till the weather is
better, then he will probly enjoy it more. Thank You For a wonderful puppy dog! I love him and he is such a sweetie Take

Hello lorie, ken, kids, and k-9s
just wanted to let you know Willow competed in
her first AKC fun match show this weekend. she had a great time. we went to socialize and have
fun. Willow was such a good girl i was afraid she would be to excited with all the other dogs but she was pretty calm ,she
played nice and made lots of friends, her new best buddy is a belgian terveran named fallow and he was born the same day as
Willow. Despite the pouring rain and both of our lack of experience our little lady came home with 2
First place ribbons for Best Bitch Puppy and Won Best of breed in 3-6 month
puppy class as well as 4th in the herding group and a very
proud mommy.
We are going to start handling classes with some
friends in a couple of weeks so the next time we will both know what to do in the ring and she can add to her collection of
pretty ribbons. Just wait till we get to visit you guys you won't believe her scrapbook its growing almost as fast as
she is ......
I had a feeling.
He is wonderful!!! Huge
like his father! He is the sweetest dog I have ever had. We just learned the colors. I throw a green, red,
blue and yellow ball all at once - I tell him a color and he brings it!! He is the best.
I have next week off, so I will
try to send the pictures again when I have some free time. Your new granddaughters are beautiful. I wish I lived
on a farm so I could buy another one. I do feel bad that he doesn't have a lot of room to run!! I try to take
him out as much as I can, but the weather isn't very helpful. He cries every time I come home from work! Oh -
I forgot to tell you - When I ask him for "hugs" the moose actually jumps up with his paws on my shoulders and puts his face
right next to mine!!
Can ya stand it. I didn't
buy a Shepherd, I bought a HAM!! Lorie - I just love this dog. I have turned into one of those people who never
shuts up about their pets!!! Sarah E.Boston Ma.
